Democratic Congresswoman and member of the controversial "Squad," Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez urged Congress to amend its spending bill for the transfer of $735 million worth of equipment that allows unguided bombs to be altered into becoming guided missiles.

The lawmaker accused Israel of "bombing...Palestinian civilians [and] media centers" in last year's Gaza conflict.

Ocasio-Cortez also called on the U.S. government to ban arms sales to Saudi Arabia over its alleged role in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and Colombia for "human rights abuses."

Israel's ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan said Ocasio-Cortez's statement provided legitimacy for the Hamas terrorist organization.
