Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz has called on those who refuse to be vaccinated to protect themselves from becoming infected with coronavirus.
"Most of those on respirators today are not vaccinated," he said. "And as for those on heart-lung machines, virtually none of them is vaccinated. As an aside, most of them are young men under the age of 40," he added.
"I call on everyone who isn't vaccinated to at the very least take care of themselves and try not to become infected. Avoid crowded areas and wear a face mask. Get tested. The danger is real."
