A Bedouin infected with coronavirus was located at a gas station near the town of Lakiya in the south of the country. He presented a negative COVID test result to police officers who checked his information and discovered that he was a confirmed coronavirus carrier and should have been in quarantine.
Police removed him to Soroka hospital and opened a criminal investigation against him, for spreading of disease as well as possession of a suspicious substance (marijuana) in a quantity for self-consumption found in his vehicle. The suspect was taken to his home to quarantine.
