MK Nir Barkat (Likud) on Thursday attacked in a post of Twitter the silence of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in the face of the US intention to establish a consulate for Palestinian Arabs in Jerusalem.

“The fact that Prime Minister Bennett is still silent and trying to hide from the public the Biden administration's intention to open a Palestinian embassy in Jerusalem is disturbing. Bennett's silence and weakness invite heavy pressure on us to open the Palestinian embassy, which means: The division of Jerusalem and its recognition as the capital of Palestine. Bennett, Jerusalem is not for sale,” said Barkat.
