The defense establishment fears a threat to security stability in Judea and Samaria and other parts of Israel and Gaza, Reshet Bet reported.
The fear is that the capture of the terrorists or a confrontation will lead to a further escalation. A security source emphasized that all sources had warned before Rosh Hashanah of the possibility of escalation, and therefore alertness was increased, but according to him, "the IPS fell asleep."
