Out of 57,000 people the US evacuated from Afghanistan to Qatar, fewer than 1,400 still remain at a military base there, a US general said Saturday.
The 57,000 were part of the 124,000 people the US evacuated from Kabul last month, after the Afghanistan government fell to the Taliban.
