Speaking on Galei Tzahal this morning, coalition head MK Idit Silman (Yamina) expressed her satisfaction with yesterday's Knesset vote in which the first reading of the budget and the Regulatory Law passed.

"We haven't passed such a large Regulatory Law in the Knesset for years," Silman said. "It's true that some of the issues remained with a question mark hanging over them, and several of the large issues that are at the heart of the controversy within the government were removed prior to the vote, but I am confident that they will return during committee discussions," she added.

"This is also an opportunity for the opposition parties to return to participation in the Knesset's committees," Silman said. "Boycotting committees is really not acceptable behavior, and yesterday, I made them an improved offer to return to the committees; I hope they will accept it."
