A spokesperson for the Prime Minister denied reports from the Asharq Al-Awsat Arab-language daily that Bennett was supposed to attend a summit with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian President al-Sisi and Jordan's King Abdullah II and that his invite was scrapped because the Arab leaders wanted to mold a joint policy on peace talks with Israel before meeting him.
According to the spokesperson, while no meeting between Bennett and Abbas was in the works, a summit between Egypt's al-Sisi and the Israeli leader is to take place in the near future.
