An Egyptian source told the Asharq Al-Awsat Arab-language daily that Israel's Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was supposed to attend a summit including Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian President al-Sisi and Jordan's King Abdullah II.

According to a Kan News report, the summit was eventually changed to include Abbas, al-Sisi and King Abdullah - leaving Bennett out in order to adopt a united Arab position towards the US administration regarding negotiations between Israel and the PA.
