An extremely high-ranking official has come out against Defense Minister Benny Gantz's meeting with Abbas, saying that "Gantz is behaving as a government of his own. He overstepped his authority in talking to the press. If the government collapses it will be his fault."
Sources close to Gantz deny the accusations, saying that everything was carefully planned and approved ahead of time, and so discreetly that not a single picture of the meeting was published.
