MK Michal Waldiger (Religious Zionism), head of the mental health lobby in the Knesset, has called for the government to create a program for students to help them to deal with the emotional fall-out from the coronavirus epidemic.
"Whether or not the school year starts on September 1, the education system has an obligation to create and implement a program that will teach students how to cope with crisis situations such as the one in which we find ourselves," she told the Knesset Education Committee today.
"We also have to boost the availability of psychological assistance for students," she added. "This is what our students need right now."
