According to a report on Kan News, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that he has yet to come to a decision regarding whether to offer assistance to the Taliban at Kabul International Airport.

Erdogan was asked by Taliban officials to provide Turkish assistance in Kabul, but has expressed his doubts whether such is advisable, given the security situation in the Afghan capital.

Erdogan told a news conference before departing for a visit to Bosnia:

"The Taliban have made a request regarding the operation of the Kabul airport. They say, ‘We’ll ensure security and you can operate it’. But we have not made a decision yet because there is always a possibility of death and such things there."
