The Be'er Sheva District Court convicted Aviad Moshe of attempted murder in the brutal attack of his ex-wife Shira Iskov at their family home in Mitzpe Ramon.
"I have given full credence to the complainant's testimony," wrote the judge in her final statement. "She described things in a balanced way without being effected by the emotional turmoil despite the traumatic incident, severe injuries and a long rehabilitation process. Despite her frail mental and physical conditions, her recollections mirrored those appearing in the complainant's testimony at the hospital. This was a murder attempt that failed to produce results," she concluded.
Iskov, herself, said she was "very happy" justice had been done in the trial.
