The Lebanese-based al-Akhbar daily claimed terrorist groups in Gaza, headed by Hamas, were planning protests against Egypt after it had temporarily closed the Rafah Crossing.
Egypt said it made the move following an escalation in clashes with Israeli troops and launching of incendiary balloons by Gaza-based terrorists.
