A constructions worker in his 40s was killed in a construction accident on HaMeyasdim Street in Pardes Hanna. The accident occurred while a ditch was being dug on the side of the street. The worker was buried alive.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Nadav Gov who was one of the first responders at the scene relayed: "When I arrived at the scene I saw a worker who was still half-buried in the ditch. He had no signs of life. Firefighters worked tirelessly to remove him from the collapsed ditch. Unfortunately, once he was extricated fully, his death was pronounced at the scene. I was told that the ditch is being dug as part of the construction work being done on the roadway."
