A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck the South Sandwich Islands region Sunday, according to reports by the U.S. Geological Survey.
No injuries or property damage have been reported.
The USGS said the earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, but no tsunami warning has been announced following the quake.
