The head of the Sdot Negev regional council, Tamir Idan, commented on the shooting on the Gaza border, saying that "The lack of retaliation is a disgrace. I call on the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense to react with full force, to skip bombing empty buildings, and to attack and eliminate Hamas's leadership for good. You promised to change the status quo. Now is the time to do so.
