Dr. Yasmin Maor, head of the department of infectious diseases at Wolfson Medical Center and a member of the government's vaccines committee, discussed the expansion of the government's coronavirus vaccination program on Reshet Bet this morning.
"This vaccine is extremely safe," she said. "It saves lives and reduces the danger of severe infection. Its risks are nothing in comparison to its benefits. According to the data we have, it takes around a week [after vaccination] for its impact to be felt."
