Speaking on Galei Tzahal this morning, Prof. Nachman Ash, director-general of the Health Ministry, expressed his satisfaction with the expansion of eligibility for COVID booster shots to the 40+ age group.
"I came to the decision that the third dose of coronavirus vaccine should be given to a wider swathe of the public immediately, and the new directive is being implemented from today," he said.
"I am glad that we are able to expand the vaccination program; this is a very important step to be taking, and I hope that it will prove effective," he added.
