Former fire commissioner Shahar Ayalon commented in an interview on Reshet Bet radio on the efforts to put out the fire in the Jerusalem hills.
"Assistance from European firefighters is important. They are experienced, tough, have the physical abilities and tools needed to fight forest fires and protect homes and property. Spraying water on burning trees is more taking out frustration than firefighting," Ayalon said.
