'There are a number of hotspots that are still on fire'

Nissim Twito, commander of the Jerusalem District of the Fire and Rescue Services, was interviewed on Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) on Monday evening and spoke of the efforts to contain the fire in the Jerusalem hills.

"There are a number of hotspots that are still on fire. The forces are in the area and are prepared to protect the nearby communities and residents. At first light, we will renew our air and ground extinguishing efforts so as not to allow the winds to renew the fires," he said.
