US President Joe Biden on Sunday participated in a briefing on the situation in Afghanistan alongside Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and other officials.
The White House said Biden received an update on the evacuation of US citizens from Afghanistan and the situation on the ground. White House officials also said Biden will deliver a special statement to the nation in the coming days on the crisis in Afghanistan.
