Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Thursday evening welcomed the decision to vaccinate people aged 50 and over with a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

"The staff members worked diligently and thoroughly, concluding that the third vaccine for those aged 50 and over and the medical staffs is effective and correct. The vaccination campaign for those aged 60 and over has been a great success, with more than 750,000 vaccinated so far, and we are now moving on to the next stage. This is an important step in the fight against the Delta pandemic."

"I call on everyone over the age of 50 - show up tomorrow morning. Get vaccinated. This is a life saver. It is in our hands. Together with the Ministry of Health, we brought a large amount of vaccines to Israel to enable rapid public vaccination and protection against the Delta strain," said Bennett.
