Worker's union chairman Arnon Bar-David today (Sunday) addressed the CEO of the Bezeq Group, Gil Sharon, and the CEO of Alpha Companies, Ran Gurion, in an urgent call for a solution to the disputes between Alpha's management and employees.
In his letter, Bar-David noted that "the union is the representative workers' organization of more than 3,000 Alpha employees at Pelephone and Bezeq International. Unfortunately, we have recently witnessed a severe turnaround in the attitude of Alpha companies towards employees, which threatens the livelihoods and job security of thousands of employees."
According to Bar-David, "So far, the union, under my leadership, has restrained itself from any serious steps, out of a sense of responsibility for the workers. Unfortunately, I have learned that companies do not operate with the same sense of responsibility. I do not intend to stand aside when your conduct leads to an immediate danger down to the warmth of these workers."
