The Robert Koch Institute in Germany has said that coronavirus vaccines saved over 38,000 lives in the country, AP reported.
According to the Institute's model calculation, another 76,000 people were not admitted to hospitals with COVID-19, and the vaccine kept an additional 20,000 out of ICUs. It estimated that Germany's vaccination drive prevented over 706,000 coronavirus cases this year.
