The British newspaper "Times" reported that the crew members of the tanker that was hijacked on Tuesday intentionally sabotaged the engines and thus prevented the ability to sail the tanker towards Iran.
It was further reported that when American and Omani warships arrived in the area of the incident, the Iranians moved to the boats waiting for them and fled.
