Spokesman for the U.S. State Department Ned Price referred to an incident in which an oil tanker was hijacked off the coast of the UAE.
"We are aware of reports of a naval incident in the Gulf of Oman. We are concerned and looking into the matter and cooperating with our allies. We have seen an alarming pattern of Iranian aggression, including at the naval level. But in this specific incident it is too early for us to determine who is responsible," said Price.
