A police car was stolen last night after it was left running at the entrance to the Petah Tikvah station. The car and the suspect in the theft were located shortly after near the settlement of Alei Zahav and the man was arrested.
A preliminary inspection revealed that a policewoman (compulsory service) who was asked to transfer files from Netanya station to Petah Tikva station parked the car without shutting down the engine and without locking the car doors, and entered the station diary to hand over the files. It was also found that a long weapon remained in the car.
