U.S. gymnast Simone Biles said that contrary to initial reports, was not injured and withdrew from the gymnastics women's team final to "protect" her mental health.
According to Reuters, Biles, considered the best in her sport, arrived at the Games expecting nothing short of Gold but after performing poorly in a qualifying event, began feeling that "something was off."
That's when Biles says she decided to withdraw from the Olympics rather than risk her "mental health."
