MK Itamar Ben Gvir responded to the incident in which he was removed from the Knesset podium after confronting Deputy Speaker of the Knesset MK Ahmed Tibi.

"There is no clause in the Knesset bylaws that requires me to say ‘sir’ to whoever is presiding over the meeting, certainly not if he is a terrorist who was Arafat's adviser and should be in the Syrian parliament. Tibi illegally used his authority to remove me, so I demanded that the Knesset Speaker oust his deputy Tibi. Anyone who uses ushers as a tool for political slamming will not be the Deputy Speaker of the Knesset," said Ben Gvir.
