The Legislative Committee has rejected MK Mickey Zohar's bill from the Likud to reduce livestock shipments and animal abuse.
MK Zohar commented: "The parties that once professed concern for animal welfare have proved today how thoroughly power corrupts. Values and ideology no longer matter - nothing matters other than power. I hope that the people of Israel see the injustice done to animals and make sure to remember who signed off on it."
