An indictment was filed against a 16-year-old boy from Bat Yam who was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a 72-year-old guard and causing him serious injury because he refused to open the parking lot gate for him.

In an incident that took place about a month ago, the minor arrived late at night on a scooter at the parking lot in Rishon Lezion and asked the guard to open the gate. After the guard refused his request, the defendant began beating him in the face and body until he fell to the ground. The defendant continued to beat him even after he had fallen to the floor until he left the scene without providing assistance.

The victim was taken to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in critical condition and later even needed rehabilitative medical treatment.
