The Speaker of the Knesset, Mickey Levy, made a statement regarding what he views as a problematic culture in the Knesset - the lack of respectful discourse between MKs.
"Just before the end of this national day of mourning, which is also a day of soul-searching, is a good opportunity to turn to the Knesset members again and ask that the arguments between us be held in a respectful manner. As someone who has failed in the past, I ask myself and all of us to make an effort. We are the representatives of the Jewish state that generations of Jews had not dreamed of. Let us remember this for a moment before we attack and offend. Let us act to set an example for the public that looks at us. We have responsibility and influence," Levy wrote on Twitter.
