At least 156 people have died in flooding in western Germany, police reported Sunday morning, bringing the death toll in Western Europe to 183.
Around 700 residents were evacuated on Friday after a dam broke in the town of Wassenberg.
Waters were said to be receding by Saturday, but more bodies were expected to be located in wake of the recent flooding.
