Israel's President, Isaac Herzog, will be attending a synagogue in Ashkelon on Tisha b'Av for the reading of Megillat Eichah (Lamentations).
The synagogue is one that was established in the courtyard of a private home during the coronavirus "era."
Former Religious Affairs Minister Rabbi Yaakov Avitan will be welcoming Herzog to the synagogue, and inviting him to read one of the chapters of the Megillah.
