Following the appointment of Brig. General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi as the IDF's next military advocate general and the second female major general in the country’s history on Thursday, the IDF Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi, is expected to recommend Col. Orly Markman to head the military's Appeals Court, according to a report on Reshet Bet.
If Markman is indeed appointed, she will be promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.
