Last night, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett decided to appoint Brigadier General Avi Gil as the military secretary to the prime minister. This was after a consultation with the Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz, and on the recommendation of the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Aviv Kochavi.

In coordination between the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff, it was decided to raise the rank of military secretary to the prime minister to the rank of general, as was customary in the past.
