Speaking on Galei Tzahal this morning, former National Security Council head Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland praised the decision of the current government to increase the amount of water Israel sells to Jordan.

"This was most definitely the right decision," Eiland said. "The Jordanian government has been begging us for months to increase the amount of water we supply to them. In northern Jordan, hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees are suffering from a lack of water - but this isn't just a problem that's confined to the periphery. Even in the capital, Amman, there's no water in the taps for several hours every day."
