The Lod District Court will pass sentence today on Carmel Maouda, a kindergarten teacher who was convicted of abusing toddlers in a daycare center in Rosh HaAyin.
If the court accepts the prosecution's recommendation, Maouda may face up to 16 years imprisonment. The defense has argued for a reduced sentence of not more than two years.
