Police have concluded an undercover investigation with the arrest of three individuals for fraud, tax offenses, money laundering, bribery, forgery and other offenses.

The suspects, a council employee in one of the communities near Jerusalem in her 40s and two directors of a nursing home placement company in their 60s, were arrested and taken for questioning by police, and will be brought before a judge later today to request that the court extend their detention.

Acting on information from the National Insurance Institute, police discovered that the nursing company had pocketed significant sums by maintaining fictitious careers in nursing centers in Abu Ghosh and East Jerusalem, claiming thousands of shekels per resident.
