Minister of the Interior, Yamina's MK Shaked, said that while at the moment, the Citizenship Law hadn't garnered a Knesset majority, it would be voted upon later in the day.
"A Zionist faction has never opposed such a law," she stated, adding she hoped the measure would gain the majority needed to pass by the time voting began.
Responding to Bennett and Shaked's calls to support the legislature, opposition leader Netanyahu said that the "real test" of whether this was truly a right-wing government would be answered once his proposed Immigration Law was brought to a vote.
