Four indictments have been filed against four Palestinian defendants for armed robbery with a knife and attempting to commit a robbery In a public area.
Police conducted an investigation following a report received about two car robbery incidents that occurred during the month of May in which 4 Palestinian suspects were arrested for questioning, indictments were filed against them, and a request for their detention to be extended until the end of the proceedings.
The defendants used a false identity and introduced themselves as Moshe or David and used to call minibus drivers and schedule a ride to Kiryat Arba. While the minibus drivers were waiting to be joined by the customers, the defendants would ask them to proceed to the entrance to the village of Halhul where they would be waiting in a private vehicle. The defendants would then force entry to the bus and eject the driver. They would then flee in the bus and leave the driver at the side of the road.
