Head of the Binyamin Regional Council Yisrael Ganz has announced that there are currently six confirmed cases of coronavirus in the region, after over six weeks during which no cases at all were diagnosed.

"We have to stress the importance of the quarantine requirement for all those returning from abroad, as well as for people who have come into contact with confirmed cases," Ganz said. "We have to look after our health, as well as make sure that our children have the kind of summer vacation they need."

Ganz added that, "Children above the age of 12 should be vaccinated, as the Health Ministry advises. The vaccine is available via the health funds, as are coronavirus tests. We are in contact with the Home Front Command, which will organize a testing center here in the Binyamin region in order to make things easier for residents. Details will be posted on the Council's website."
