"The issue of the Golan Heights has not come up for discussion with the Americans," said a senior government official, following reports that the Biden administration is walking back former President Trump's recognition of the area as Israeli.
"In any case, it's self-evident that the Golan Heights will remain under Israeli sovereignty forever," he added.
