The World Organization of Synagogues called on community leaders to recommend worshipers return to wearing protective masks during prayer services in wake of the recent hike in the Corona morbidity rate and the recommendation of health professional to return to face coverings in closed spaces.
The organization recommended wearing a mask throughout the service - with an emphasis on synagogues where some of the worshipers have yet to be vaccinated and children as well as at-risk individuals are present. In addition, the group recommended maximum ventilation of synagogues.
