Dozens were killed in an air strike on the town of Togoga in Ethiopia, according to a Reuters report. The attack came after rebel Tigray Defence Force (TDF) claimed to have taken a number of towns in the area.
The Ethiopian army, meanwhile, denied the reports.
November of last year saw the government declaring victory in the latest round of fighting.
Thousands of people have been killed and millions displaced in the fighting.
According to rebel reports, they had captured a number of towns and taken captives, destroying army vehicles and other equipment along the way.
