IDF forces working in conjunction with Israel Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons over the border from Lebanon into Israel.
Security forces spotted a suspicious person carrying a large bag within Lebanon and crossing the border into Israel, near Metulla. A short while later, another person arrived at the scene and the bag was transferred to him.
Security forces then followed the pair, foiled the smuggling attempt, and arrested one of the suspects. 12 guns were seized in the course of the arrest. The would-be smuggler is now being interrogated.
