Diaspora Affairs Minister Nachman Shai (Labor) has announced that he has already held talks with leaders from the various "streams" of organized Jewry abroad - Orthodox Jewry, as well as the Conservative and Reform movements.
"In the name of the new government, I have committed the State of Israel to becoming open to these three streams and will recognize them all equally," Shai said.
