The leader of the Spanish right-wing party Vox, Santiago Abascal Conde, has indicated his support for Israel and has criticized western nations for their support for Iran.
In an interview with Israel Hayom, the first-ever such interview granted to Israeli media, Abascal Conde said: "I believe that we [Spain and Israel] are subject to similar threats, and that we should collaborate and share our intelligence in order to address them. We are in the midst of a battle between civilizations. Fundamentalist Islam is threatening Europe. The extremists have taken control of the streets in many of our cities. Israel [too] is threatened by extremists, and we should be cooperating with Israel in order to combat these threats."
