A Likud source commented on the disagreement within the government as to whether the Family Reunification law should be extended, saying that if Prime Minister Naftali Bennett wished the law to pass, he could part with Mansour Abbas.
''Bennett irresponsibly put Mansour Abbas at the head of the Interior Committee that is supposed to pass the law that prevents widespread Palestinian immigration to Israel, and now he is brazenly asking the opposition to rescue him and pass the law to another committee. What does he expect us to do about it?"
